If there’s anything I’ve learned throughout high school, it’s that assuming there’s a way to make everyone happy is childish at best. This presumption we carry with us doesn’t last long, but it’s the difference between being a nice person, and being your best person.
There are always tough decisions to be made, and in the end it’s impossible and naive to think that everyone will find pleasure from your choices. You’ll leave a trail of broken hearts and angry minds everywhere, but that will heal with time if you choose to make the decision that’s right for you.
Friendships will be broken, people won’t like you for being you, and you’ll find that people you once got along with turn their backs quickly.
The best way to measure a person’s strength is to push them into the face of adversary. How you handle your obstacles is what defines you as a person.
Only a weak person let’s petty obstacles get in the way of them living their lives.
